Someone once asked me to describe what Zen is like; I explained it like this:

Have you ever watched a movie with someone that’s taken a class on cinematography; they see the entire experience differently, they marvel at the subtle cues of transition from scene to scene and point out the details that most people would normally miss. This is somewhat as it is to be a person of Zen, the perspective of existence itself begins to take on a different meaning; it’s as though everything suddenly connects in ways that expose the beauty of it all; as though the universe itself becomes aligned in such exquisite detail that nothing ever looks the same again.
